A best ball team golf event held at the Stillwater Country Club on the afternoon of July 30, 2012. Two tickets for a cruise and dinner on the beautiful St. Croix River with entertainment and a silent and live auction. Your entry includes 18 holes of golf at the Stillwater Country Club, a delicious buffet lunch, and a dinner cruise for two on the Avalon River Boat.
TOM SCHEUERMAN
Tom Scheuerman devoted his life to serving others. Through his work on the District 834 School Board and the Courage Center Board, by coaching young athletes, sharing his faith with teens through Young Life or working with urban programs through The Salvation Army and Urban Ventures, Tom was a moving force in the community. However, sitting on Boards and raising funds was just one side of his story.
YOUNG LIFE
Young Life, a Christian outreach for youth, has been working with teenagers in the St. Croix Valley for more than 40 years. Proceeds from the Tom Scheuerman Golf Classic will be used to benefit all aspects of the local program. The authentic relationships built between kids and adults in Young Life programs are an irreplaceable link in helping young people become healthy and whole people.
SALVATION ARMY
The Salvation Army's programs for urban children and youth are well known throughout the country. The St. Paul Salvation Army runs an extensive day-camping program for elementary age children as well as weekly camping at their North Woods Camp. Since all of these children come from families that can't afford a luxury such as summer camp for their child, camp scholarships are in high demand.
